Everything but the Kitchen Sink

I’ve just emptied my freezer and in the process made to big pots of soup.

Field peas
onions
garlic
tad of broccoli/carrots/corn
about a hlf cup of mixed vegetables
a half a tomato
1 potato

In the other pot
some turkey breast
onions/red and green bell pepper mix
1/4 fresh onion sauted in olive oil
1/3 stick of butter
3/4 can red (pinto) beans
1/4 cwn french cut grean beans
1 potato
2 carrots
2 stalks celery hearts

Admittedly this is a lot more food than just one person can possibly eat in any reasonable amount of time, But I have a clean freezer and I’ve salvaged all those long lost bits ‘n pieces from garbage can hell. So what to do after the insanity recedes?

Freeze baby freeze. That’s right Tomorrow, after everything has cooled in the fridge and the flavors have melded I’ll bag up servings in zip lock bags. Label them – I promise, else these will become mystery items and eventually wind up in the garbage after all. That would be sad.
